BLACK FEMALE FORM is an experimental film exploring the body as a site of memory, knowledge and healing. Rooted in a research journey through Uganda, the performance encounters traditional healers whose practices draw on water, plants and herbs, ritual, sound and embodied knowledge.

Through performance and moving image, these encounters unfold alongside an exploration of precolonial expressions of beauty, opening a space where different knowledge systems and traditions can meet. Moving between body, landscape and ritual, the film traces forms of knowledge that have survived colonial disruption and erasure, while asking what it means to remember through the body.
